AMATEUR CHOIR
only open to non-professional choirs.
MAXIMUM CATEGORIES
maximum of two competition categories.
PURE SINGING TIME
10-15 minute. must be submitted in the application.
CHOREOGRAPHY
Allowed, but only the music will be judged. ※ Except Ethnic Category
AUDIO FILE
2 audio recordings (within 10min.) in mp3 format.
SCORE
Must send the digital copies of scores in PDF format via Email by August 31, 2025. In addition, a set of five sheet music must be mailed to the BCFC office by September 30, 2025.

The Busan Choral Festival & Competition highly values the protection of users’ personal information and makes every effort to ensure that the personal data provided online is protected. We comply with the personal information protection regulations stipulated in the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Personal Information Protection Guidelines established by the Ministry of Information and Communication.

Through this Privacy Policy, we inform users how their personal information isused and what measures are taken to protect it.

This Privacy Policy may be subject to changes due to amendments in government laws and guidelines or changes in our internal policies. We have established procedures to continuously improve our Privacy Policy accordingly. In the event of any revisions, we will notify users via announcements before implementation, ensuring that the changes are easily accessible.

1. Consent to the Collection of Personal Informatio

We provide a process where users can either click the “Agree” or “Cancel” button after reviewing our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use. By clicking “Agree,” users are deemed to have consented to the collection of their personal information.

2. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Informatio

“Personal Information” refers to information about a living individual that can identify the person, including name and other details, either alone or when combined with other information.

We collect personal information to provide users with a more customized and high-quality service experience. We do not disclose users’ personal information without their prior consent.
The collected information is used as follows:

  1. 1. Service Improvement: User-provided personal data helps us develop new services and enhance existing content by determining service priorities based on user needs.
  2. 2. Providing Information & Advertising: Our various services and information are provided free of charge. Personal information is used to deliver appropriate advertisements and content, adding value for users. However, we never provide user data to advertisers.
  3. 3. Specific Purposes for Each Data Type:
    • - Name, ID, Password, Identity Verification Q&A: For verifying identity and providing age-restricted services.
    • - ID, Resident Registration Number: For age-restricted service provision and prevention of fraudulent use by problematic users.
    • - Email Address, Phone Number: For notifications, identity confirmation, complaint resolution, and latest updates on services, events, and new products.
    • - Bank Account, Credit Card, Phone Number: For payment of premium service.
    • - Address, Phone Number: For accurate delivery of bills and physical good.
    • - Address: For demographic analysis.
    • - Other Optional Items: For personalized service.
    • - Parent/Guardian Name, Email, Phone Number: To verify consent for children under 14 and for subsequent guardian confirmation.
    • - IP Address, Visit Date/Time: To prevent unauthorized and illegal use.
    • - Phone Number (Landline, Mobile): For membership confirmation and restrictions on multiple sign-ups.
3. Items of Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods

When users register for membership, we collect essential personal information such as name, email address, and optional details like phone numbers for enhanced service provision.

For users under 14, guardian consent is required, and additional contact information may be collected for verification.

We may also collect data through surveys or events but will not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., race, political views, criminal records, health status, sexual orientation) without explicit consent.

4. Retention and Use Period of Collected Personal Informatio

We retain personal information while users continue using our services. However, if a user deletes or modifies their data or requests account termination, the information is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Personal data collected for temporary purposes (e.g., surveys, events) is deleted once its purpose is fulfilled.

In some cases, we retain user data for one year after account termination to prevent fraudulent re-registration by problematic users. Additionally, legal requirements may mandate data retention for specific periods:

  • - Contract & Withdrawal Records: 1 yea
  • - Payment & Supply of Goods Records: 1 yea
  • - Consumer Complaints & Dispute Records: 1 yea

Deleted personal information is either shredded (physical copies) or permanently erased using technical methods (electronic data).

5. Sharing and Provision of Collected Personal Informati

We do not share personal information without prior consent, except in the following case:

  • - If the user explicitly agrees to disclosure.
  • - If payment processing requires data provision.
  • - If a user violates our terms or engages in illegal activities.
  • - If law enforcement agencies or legal authorities require data disclosure through proper procedures.
  • - If statistical analysis, academic research, or market research requires non-identifiable data.
6. User Rights Regarding Their Personal Informatio

Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time through the Member Management menu. Users can also request account termination through the Contact Us page or via email.

To prevent unauthorized changes, users must log in with their ID and password before modifying personal data. If a password is lost, an email or SMS with a temporary password will be sent after identity verification.

7. Use of Cookie

Cookies are small data files stored on a user’s computer to provide personalized services. Users can configure browser settings to allow, confirm, or block cookies, though blocking may limit certain services.

8. Technical and Managerial Measures for Personal Information Protection

We take the following security measures:

  • - User passwords are encrypted and confidential.
  • - Security software is used to prevent hacking and virus threats.
  • - Personal information access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
